Whey Straining Drum
Continuous straining equipment that separates whey from curd while passing through a perforated rotating drum. Higher throughput compared to batch methods.
About This Product
As curd passes through the perforated drum, whey is strained to the outside of the drum; the internal helical structure conveys the curd toward the discharge. The continuous operation principle provides higher throughput and more uniform dry matter content compared to batch straining methods. Drum speed is adjustable; whey is discharged via pump. Drum perforation diameter and speed are selected according to curd grain size — incorrect selection leads to curd loss.
